We had a blast with the Bakken family the other day on the Green River. They did a great job landing several fish! We are excited about high water dropping (currently at around 5600 CFS) and have started to see some dry fly action. This weekend we landed a few on caddis and crickets- great to see the fish starting to eat up top! And below on the dry dropper worms are still working well (orange wire and chenille natural), and also prince nymphs. Enjoy!

HIGH WATER FLOWS CONTINUE- FISHING STILL GOOD
High water flows have been extended approximately 10 days longer than expected, but that’s not stopping the good nymphing! The trout are in search of junk food! Try a worm, scud, or egg for some good underwater action.
Don’t let the lack of the almighty cicada get you down- it’s still one of the prettiest and most abundant fisheries in the west! Fish on Jenny.
Doug Ouellette and his wife Jenny of Reno, NV visited the Green last week and with the help of Guide Nick Jackson absolutely crushed it! 20 fish to the boat- during high water- nice job guys!
THE NYMPHING IS GOOD ON THE GREEN
We had a great time on the Green River the other day with Jeff and Steve. The Blue Wing Olive hatch is still going strong- the guys landed several fish with a nymph rig on the A section.

Big 24″ Brown on Utah’s Green River, A Section
One of our favorite clients and dear friend John Cancilla (Newport, CA) landed this big boy 24 inch brown on the A-section in mid-July.
The Green River trip was hosted by Trout Creek Flies and guided by Nick Jackson. Guests John and Jeff stayed at the always beautiful Red Canyon Lodge.
This huge brown was caught on a tiny gray scud- size 22.
