MARK AND BLAKE LANDED SEVERAL ON DRIES
We had a great time out on the river for two days with Mark and his son Blake- in from Reno, NV. The Caddis and Yellow Sally hatches gave these boys some great dry fly action a few weeks ago! We’ve had double after double this season and these two have kept the trend going. Looking forward to next time guys! — Looking for what to use now? Ants and hoppers are ON.
FLYFISHING AND BEING YOUNG AT HEART
We recently had the pleasure of taking 85 year old Bill out on the drift boat for 3 days of guided fly fishing on the Green River, UT just below Flaming Gorge Dam. Bill did an amazing job landing several fish on dry flies on sections A, B, and C. Although the Cicada hatch was for the most part absent this year, the Caddis and Yellow Sally hatches are in full swing– fortunately sticking around longer than typical and will hopefully carry over into August. Bill was a pleasure to be around and definitely still on top of the game both physically and mentally. Thanks for letting us guide you Bill! (Guide: Nick Jackson)
BAKKEN FAMILY FISHING TRIP
We had a blast with the Bakken family the other day on the Green River. They did a great job landing several fish! We are excited about high water dropping (currently at around 5600 CFS) and have started to see some dry fly action. This weekend we landed a few on caddis and crickets- great to see the fish starting to eat up top! And below on the dry dropper worms are still working well (orange wire and chenille natural), and also prince nymphs. Enjoy!

Green River Recently Stocked- Fall 2015
There is an estimated 8,000-22,000 fish per mile on the Green River, here’s your proof. This clip was filmed just below Flaming Gorge Dam the first week of October 2015.
