As the cicadas wind down we are now seeing yellow Sally’s and caddis. The big bug is still working on the river, but many fish are also refusing it. We always have a blast when Rick and Dave come out from Tennessee, they are hardcore Anglers and so fun to be around! They landed a ton of nice fish!

MAY FISHING
The Green is fishing well, both dries and nymphs are working. We expect high flows to start in the next few weeks. Angler Joe Snoy caught this beautiful rainbow last week!
RIVER FLOWS DROP TODAY
Inflows did not reach expected capacity for Flaming Gorge Reservoir during April and May, therefore the Bureau of Reclamation has decided to decrease flows to 6600 CFS for the next couple of weeks. Expect flows to increase again around the end of the month.
BROWN SPAWN CONTINUES
Angler Rob Peterson landed this nice Brown Trout on private water on the Weber River near Coalville, UT today. Look in shallow ruffles that flow into deep pools and try throwing an egg!
SCUDS ARE THE FLY OF CHOICE
The fish are tight to the banks, and on sand bars in the slower water. With the strong flows, you’ll need to hit bottom to reach the fish on their level. Here’s a first hand look at some of the scuds the trout are feeding on.
Try gray or amber in size 20-14. Also worms are still doing well- try a neon nightmare or wire worm in red, pink, natural, or orange with a scud trailer.
